SUNNYVALE, CA — April 11, 2003 — OMNIVISION Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OVTI), an independent supplier of CameraChip™ solutions for high-volume imaging applications, announced today that H. Gene McCown will resign his position as the Company’s Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer as a result of his decision to retire. Mr. McCown will remain in the same position until an appropriate candidate is placed and the transition is completed. Mr. McCown has held such position at OMNIVISION since July 1999 and has held various accounting and finance positions for over 40 years. The Company would like to thank Mr. McCown for his leadership, service and contributions to the Company.
