ANOTHER AUTOMOTIVE CAMERACHIP™ GEARS UP FOR VOLUME PRODUCTION
SUNNYVALE, California – May 23, 2006 – OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OVTI), a leading independent supplier of CMOS CameraChip™ solutions for high-volume imaging applications, announced today that, for the first time, it is supplying CameraChips to a leading automotive equipment supplier for use in Lane Departure Warning Systems. This represents the second major application in which OmniVision is establishing itself in the automotive sector. Its CMOS sensor products are now moving into volume production to meet ramping demand for rearview camera systems and lane departure warning systems.
