OMNIVISION Announces 1.3 Megapixel Design Win for Award Winning BenQ Camera

OMNIVISION Provides OV9620 1.3 Megapixel CameraChips™ for the BenQ DC1300 Digital Cameras

SUNNYVALE, CA — July 31, 2002 — OMNIVISION Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OVTI), a market-leading independent supplier of CMOS CameraChip™ solutions for high-volume imaging applications, today announced it is supplying the OV9620 color 1.3 Mega-Pixel chip in volume to BenQ for their DC1300 digital still camera. The DC1300 is an award winning small form factor Mega-Pixel Digital Still Camera, recognized for its small size, high image quality and long battery life.

With OMNIVISION’s patented chip architecture, the DC1300 is able to capture up to 1500 images on just two triple-A alkaline batteries!

After competing against 1,116 products from the top brands worldwide at the 2002 Industrial Design Excellence Awards, the DC1300 was awarded a bronze medal.
