SUNNYVALE, CA — February 5, 2001 — OMNIVISION Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: OVTI), a leader in designing, developing and marketing advanced, single-chip CMOS image sensors used in electronic cameras and other optical imaging devices, today announced it has named Bob Stroh as vice president of strategic marketing and business development. Effective immediately, Mr. Stroh will concentrate on long-range corporate strategy and planning activities. Mr. Stroh will continue to report directly to Shaw Hong, OMNIVISION’s president and chief executive officer. Mr. Stroh’s promotion reflects the company’s commitment to the growth of its strategic marketing and business development team.

Mr. Stroh joined OMNIVISION in January 1997 as director of marketing and sales. In June 1998, he was promoted to vice president of marketing and sales. Mr. Stroh has over 37 years of experience in the electronics industry. Prior to his tenure with OMNIVISION, Mr. Stroh spent 15 years at NCR Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Indiana University.
