    OmniVision's liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) chipset solution offers a high-definition (HD), compact form factor, low-power and low-cost microdisplay solution for pico projection systems. The single-panel LCOS chip delivers 720p HD video, supported by a companion chip, which provides advanced image processing and a host of additional features that simplify system design, save space and reduce power consumption. It uses all-digital technology to produce clear, stable images. The combination of these features makes the LCOS chipset a highly attractive solution for next-generation projection systems in wearable electronics, mobile displays, pico projection, automotive and medical applications.

    OmniVision's CameraCubeChip for Any Application

    OmniVision's CameraCubeChip™ is an innovative solution that uses advanced chip-scale-package technology to integrate wafer level optics with CMOS image sensors. OmniVision's proprietary stacking technology enables the bonding of wafer level optics with the silicon wafer in a single step. The completed product, the CameraCubeChip, offers the full functionality of image sensing, processing and output in a single chip.

  • Omni-ISP™ IP Cores

    Delivering World Class Image Signal Processing

    OmniVision’s image signal processing cores, Omni-ISP™, provide superior image quality and most advanced imaging features, meeting current marketing requirements and driving the next generation of digital imaging system features. Combined with OmniVision’s complete product offerings, the Omni-ISP Core allows Product Managers to differentiate their digital imaging system at a reduced cost and reduced time to market. Omni-ISP cores support up to 1.2 gigapixels per second, 48-megapixel still capture, and up to 4 simultaneously streaming cameras, enabling cost-effective applications in consumer, mobile devices, as well as the demanding automotive, biometric, security, and IoT imaging systems. Omni-ISP™ cores can work with any of OmniVision’s advanced megapixel image sensors, supporting items such as RGB-IR, RGBC, and/or PDAF, and opening up a wide array of image platforms for new and innovative applications.

    • Basic Omni-ISP Core
      The basic Omni-ISP IP Core is the smallest, in logic and memory, with the lowest demand on a product’s power budget, supporting 3264x2448 resolution with pixel throughput of 160MP/s, equivalent to a 5-megapixel image sensor running at 30 frames per second (FPS). This stream-lined ISP core is designed for low cost, single camera systems that require automatic gain, exposure and contrast control, as well as the capability to adjust saturation, color and gamma. Additionally, the basic core includes pan/tilt/crop/zoom and special effects such as sepia and watercolor.

      Standard Omni-ISP Core
      The standard Omni-ISP IP Core includes all of the features and functionality of the basic ISP core with increased resolution support up to 4224x3168 pixels, 400MP/s throughput, which is equivalent to a 13-megapixel image sensor running at 30 FPS. This ISP core also supports up to dual-camera input and multi-stream output. This core supports Xenon- and LED-type flash, zero shutter-lag, burst capture and up to 23-megapixel resolution, and two-exposure high dynamic range (HDR) video processing.

    • Advanced Omni-ISP Core
      Advanced Omni-ISP IP Core is designed support up to 6528x4896 pixels resolution with all of the features and functionality of the standard ISP core. The advanced ISP core is also capable of processing 800MP/s, allowing for a 13-megapixel camera throughput at 60 FPS. This ISP core also supports up to a dual-camera input, multi-stream output and supports WDR.

    • Premium Omni-ISP Core
      OmniVisions’s Premium Omni-ISP IP Core includes everything in the Advanced core, while raising the pixel throughput to 1.2GP/s, allowing up to 20-megapixel at 60 FPS. This core also supports up to quad-camera inputs with multi-stream output.

    All of the Omni-ISP Cores, except for the Basic Core, have additional processing modules for customization, including 3D-denoise, array camera synchronization (array by array and pixel by pixel), fast Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF), purple de-fringe, and RGBC to Bayer conversion.
